Team Spotlight: Kiela Sails with Kids

I'm now spending Tuesday afternoons with the children from our local Boys & Girls Club- the Boys & Girls Club of Venice- on the water! It's their Spring Sailing program in conjunction with the LA Sherriff's department, and I'm teaching the kids and sharing the thrills of sailing.
Some of my eager students have never been on a boat before! Graduation consists of a ride on the Sherrif's boat! Power boat that is....
The kids learn to skipper a boat and develop a work ethic by helping with set-up, cleanup and maintenance jobs around the boat. The program has won numerous awards and it's a great way to help out and enjoy time on the water. Check out more about the program and the Boys & Girls Club of Venice here.
